Employee Spotlight: Charles Tennent

Charles Tennent is a technical Project Manager at Website Pipeline, with more than 2 years experience working hand-in-hand with mid-sized businesses to implement ERP-integrated websites. Prior to that, he was a mainstay in the IT world, with a focus on custom software development and technical solutions withinin a multitude of roles.

As a project management team lead, Charles works closely with our newest customers to ensure the implementation of their site runs smoothly and efficiently. He is responsible for coordinating all elements of a new website from sale to launch, and making sure our customers are 100% satisfied with the end product.

What project or goal that you have worked on are you most proud of?

At a previous job, I negotiated the purchase of Guardian Industries' auto glass operations in Atlanta, GA and Charlotte, NC. I was responsible for handling the details of the transaction which led to acquiring the business at a substantial discount off the market value of the underlying assets.  It effectively doubled our business and made Wholesale Glass the dominant player in the NC, SC, and GA markets, and I am proud of the role I played in making that happen.

What TV or movie character would you be if you could choose?

I don't idolize TV/Movie characters. Real life is enough for me.

What is the funniest thing that has happened at Website Pipeline?

Watching Ted try to ride the hoverboard.

What programming languages are you fluent in?

Several. But mostly non practicing.

Have you won any Website Pipeline awards?

Yes. I won Honor Roll status last year.

Which college(s) did you attend?

I studied Computer Science and Mathematics at Carnegie Mellon University.

What's your favorite thing to watch on TV?

The following movies are my favorite:

Shantaram, Shogun, The Fountain Head, and The Big Lebowski. I like the adventure, the action, and the principles of the characters. Lebowski also reminds me of college - it was one of the go-to movies that we watched.

If you could travel anywhere in the world where would you go, and who would you take with you?

I'm going a few places I've always wanted to go this year - camping with friends in Yosemite National Park, and a trip to Ireland and Scotland with my family.

What is one thing you couldn't go a day without?

Definitely coffee. I am an addict.

Tell us something about you that not a lot of people know.

I have a red beard.

I have the biggest Nerf gun in the company.

If you only had 3 words to describe yourself, what would they be?

Charles is one of 60+ Website Pipeline employees, all of whom are in North America. He takes Nerf combat very seriously - he may even tackle you to the ground if he's feeling particularly zealousYou can learn more about the Website Pipeline culture on our website, or visit our Meet The Team page to see more WSP employees.
